Once a nightclub owner living the high life—smoking three packs a day and downing a bottle of Jameson nightly—he hit rock bottom with a mini-stroke that flipped the switch. Now, nearly two years sober and transformed through endurance running, he’s training for a 100-mile run to support the Wounded Warriors Project. In this raw and inspiring episode, hear how he went from 305 lbs and a health scare to finding purpose in fitness, self-care, and giving back. If he can turn it around, so can you.

I come from being a night club owner who use to party everyday for a living . I use to smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day and drink a whole bottle of Jamerson by myself everyday .then I got a health scare of having a mini stroke due to high blood pressure and not being in shape . So then the switch hit and I stop smoking and stop drinking cold turkey and it’s going on almost 2 years . I have always been someone who goes to the gym but when I got in the nightclub business I stop going and ballooned to 305 lbs and stop caring about my health .. once I got back into to fitness and started to endurance run I started to see clearly and found my passion of endurance running it has helped me a great deal mentally , and physically . I have done fundraiser runs for the wounded warriors project the first one I ran 12 miles to raise money for them on12/1/24 the second one I ran 30 miles for them on 3/15/25 and now I’m training for the third one to run 100 miles for them this is my way of giving back to the community and I’m willing to be the work horse for it because GOD has been good to me and I’m grateful for everything ..I have learned in life you go through highs and lows but once you find something that will help you be a more positive person For yourself and what’s around you indulge in it .. cause self care is real ….im living proof ..
